Meetings at The Hub

I stopped by The Hub Stockholm while researching co-working possibilities in Sweden. The founders/managers Jesper Kjellerås and Kent Edquist have a long history of co-working spaces, and I had a chance to talk to Henrik  Åhlen, Arne Forstenberg and Sven Heijbel, that are 3 of the 83 members of The Hub Stockholm.

A new intelligence report, IUS places Sweden on top of the list for innovation.

Finland and Germany lead as fast innovators, with Sweden and Denmark in hot pursuit as slow innovators (but still well above the other 27 contenders)

Swedish Startup Voddler raises $8 million from Nokia

Swedish Startup Voddler raises $8 million from Nokia Growth Partners in next round of financing.

A market leader for online video (VOD) in Sweden, Voddler delivers over 3500 films to 850 000 customers, with 85 percent of financing of licensing costs paid by advertising.

Swedish Remote Controlled Drone enthusiast rocks internet with Hydrogen Balloon Firework Rocket Attacks Video

David Windestål published a video titled "Hunting Hydrogen Balloons with Fireworks" on the internet.

Little did anyone expect that it would trigger such a heated responce. People love the fun factor, but the luddites are touting the birth of the terrorist drone.

Sweden, KTH - Potential Rocket Fuel Revolution, Swedish scientists discover new molecule in the hydrogen-oxide group

Trinitramid is the name of the new molecule that may be a component in future rocket fuel. This fuel could be 20 to 30 percent more efficient in comparison with the best rocket fuels available today, according to researchers. The discovery was made at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden.
