Danish Artist Nadia Plesner sued by Louis Vuitton for image of darfur child holding purse. Anonymous calls for revenge on LV

What is scary about a large corporation suing an artist for an image resembling said corporation's purse? (No logos in sight?) This smells very much so like the death call put on the Swedish artist Lars Vilks by islamic fundamentalists for his caricature of the prophet Muhammed. 

Extremists, be they religious or economic, recognize only one viewpoint- their own. And they care nothing for our  belief in equality, right to free speech and freedom of expression.

Lots of funding for Denmark-California collaboration

A cooperation programme between Denmark and California has been announced. An inspiring example for all Scandinavian governments to follow. As we stress continuously here at Scandinavian Startups, risk capital, culture shift and mentors is what the startup climate needs the most. This proect could very well achieve all three for Denmark. A variety of different initiatives have been approved, some more interesting that others. We will be following up on this with SiliconVikings.

Via Venture Partners raises a new fund of EUR 134 million

Via Venture Partners has raised its second fund of EUR 134 million. The new fund will invest in Nordic IT and telecommunication companies with strong development and growth potential. The additional EUR 134 million in committed capital makes Via Venture Partners one of the largest venture capital players in the Nordic market with a total committed capital of EUR 268 million.
