Get into the innovation race: "Ecomagination Challenge - Powering your home"

General Electric (GE) are now looking for Nordic contribution to phase two of the global innovation race "Ecomagination Challenge - Powering your home". The contest is open to researchers, entrepreneurs and start-up companies worldwide. It focuses on smart energy home solutions. The five best entries will be awarded "Innovation Award Price" which amounts to 100,000 U.S. dollars.

- This is a fantastic opportunity for Nordic companies and contractors working with new technology in need of a strong partner or growth capital. Clean energy and energy efficiency are critical factors for a sustainable future. Therefore, it's important that good ideas and new technologies are on the market. "said Hans Enocson, Nordic Manager at GE.

The global innovation competition was launched in 2010. The idea was to find the best ideas revitalizing the way we produce, distribute and use energy. During this first phase of the contest, called "Ecomagination Challenge - Powering the Grid", more than 4,000 ideas from around the world came in. One of the winners of the first phase includes the Swedish company Climatewell
