Swedish Startup ASMALLWORLD Founder Erik Wachtmeister launches new project

Had a chat with Erik Wachtmeister, the founder of ASMALLWORLD at the Tie Nordic breakfast held at Kreab & Gavin Anderson, Stockholm.

Was glad to hear that he has secured the first round of financing for his new project Best of All Worlds.

Everyone is jumping on the social bandwagon this day, but this is not the case with Eric Wachtmeister.

Not only did he found A Small World 2 years earlier before facebook,  he has succeeded in creating a community, which facebook clearly is not, and a community of the  rich, powerful and connected.

With limited user invites system and active community engaged in self-policying, organic growth  and participation, ASMALLWORLD still influences aspiring social network designers today.

I perosnally have used A Small World with great success, and hope that the new venture, that will have both a new interface and model of combining a private and open social network, will benefit from the same clarity of purpose and execution manifested with A Small World.
